Celebrating Women Entrepreneurship: Film and Debate
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week initiatives, on Thursday 16th November the Responsible Innovation Network and the Federation of Small Businesses will host the screening of the inspirational documentary “BAREFOOT IN BUSINESS” created by Scrumptious Productions.
BAREFOOT IN BUSINESS celebrates the extraordinary work that women entrepreneurs in Uganda do to overcome poverty and deprivation and to become successful business owners. This event aims to inspire the audience, women in particular, by showing the power of enterprise to make a positive difference despite poverty, inequality and adverse social conditions.
The screening will be followed by a panel session and audience debate.

A key Welsh Government Minister has been invited to open and close the event.
The event will be hosted at Cardiff Business School in the Postgraduate Teaching Centre (PTC) and will include a poster fair presented by MSc Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship students celebrating entrepreneurs of the past and present, and a marketplace of local female entrepreneur’s businesses, showcasing their products.
The event will start at 5.30pm and close at 8pm.
